Petite Madame

Hello people! Welcome to this sketching session. Tonight, I’m gonna draw live a ballpoint pen sketch and post all the steps one by one. It will take longer than usual for me because I’ll have to stop from time to time to scan the sheet of paper. Before starting, let’s have a look at my work station and at the tools of the trade.

(1) My work station. I know, it’s a mess…I work in front of my computer screen with the reference picture always visible in front of my eyes. I blurred it because I don’t want you to see right away what I am going to draw, you’ll discover it little by little ^^ (2) Tools of the trade. I use 2 ballpoint pens (one new, full of ink, and one old, for the lighter part of the image), a watercolor pencil, a mechanical pencil (not sure I’m gonna use it) and an eraser. (3) I’m gonna work on a page I tore from the sketchbook on which it’s written “Carnet de voyage”. It’s an A4 sheet, 180g (83lb). Ready? Let’s go!!
